We’ve all heard those words being uttered at some point. It’s as if women are taken aside in school for a secret class about how to break up with a guy. They seem to break up with us the exact same way and say the same crap, “it’s not you it’s me, blah, blah, blah, nonsense”.
It doesn’t matter what reasons she gave you during the breakup. She may have given you several reasons, which seem to contradict each other. The one thing I can almost guarantee is that you were not told the true reason.
Women are scared of what your reaction might be and will try to tell you things in as nice a way as possible in order to protect them from a possibly violent reaction. Accept this fact as that is just the way it is. They are hard-wired this way.

So why did she really leave? Because she saw you as a weak option. You acted like a pussy too many times for her to ignore. Or you breached one of her deal breakers like cheating on her but that comes back to being a weak option, a strong man would have some self-control and not cheat on her in the first place.
In general, women have no idea what they want and will walk away from you to find someone stronger and better. However, if they don’t find someone stronger and better they may realise that you were the best they could hope for and someday return. They are keeping you around as an option.
If you do wait around for her and hang out as friends, what might happen is that she may come back to you. The problem with this is she will see you as an even weaker option and will not stay too long before moving onto someone else. You will be left heartbroken… again.
The best thing you can do is walk away from her, cut her out of your life completely, delete her contact details and move on with your life. That way, if she does come back she will be competing with other girls to try and win back your affections and this will cause her to see you as a strong option again.
